Third Time's the Charm
It's a common phrase, and a little cliché, but it's true in this case. Today, before the sun disappeared, my parents left the house, and left me in peace to do whatever I pleased. So, as with yesterday and the day before, I grabbed my camera and made the long walk to a place I discovered two big steps from the porch. My first couple shots were a little overexposed. Having light in the sky was something I'd have to get used to. I corrected, and got a couple decent shots. A lot of the stuff I shot was the same as previously, but the different conditions kept it fresh.
After about a half an hour, I went for a walk with my sister and the new addition to our family: Micki. It's spelled with an "i" instead of an "ey" because this Micki is not a boy. She's also not a mouse. Anyway, I got to explore a little more new territory, and I made my sister pose for a couple of shots. She really doesn't like pictures being taken of her face, so I think she'll be pleased to know the best picture I got was of her feet.
I don't know if I actually am or not, but it feels like I'm making some sort of progress. It's about time, too, after shooting the same location three days in a row. That being said, there will always be more things to be photographed in a place, no matter how many times you've already been there and done that. You just have to look a little harder. Maybe it's finding those things, the things that you found and everyone else missed, that are most rewarding.
Thanks for reading.
