The Groomsmen

Today was a day for a new experience.  While I've been growing more and more competent in the months since I first got my Canon T2i, there are still many shots I've yet to take and scenes I've yet to capture.  And even if I do manage to capture those things, there will always be more.  Today, though, I added one to the "have done" list.  A friend had asked if I would take pictures of he and the other groomsmen of a wedding he was taking part in.  I said yes. I was a little nervous, but the situation was low-pressure, with no real expectations of quality.  That being said, I did my best to read up on good techniques and photo ideas, so that I could be as prepared as possible.  The conditions weren't the best as far as lighting goes, but I did my best. Sabino Canyon

The other day was the first time my camera had been out in a good long while.  My family and I took a trip to Sabino Canyon over Thanksgiving break, and I decided to bring my camera to see what I could find.  It was leaning towards dusk as the sun began to dip below the canyon walls, and the canyon was bathed in beautiful light.  I did my best to capture that, but I was a bit rusty.
