Across the Pond
A ten hour flight was all that separated my family and I from the bustling city streets of Paris, but it proved to be a long ten hours. After standing up as the Fasten Seat Belt sign flickered off, I felt my legs begin to buckle. They might have been complaining because that was the first time I had used them to stand up since Dallas. Who knows.
After being herded through a maze in the airport with a bunch of other sweaty passengers, we made our way out into the streets and used the metro to find our way to the hotel. Picture taking opportunities were slightly limited, but we did venture down the Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe.
There's a funky thumb obelisk outside our hotel.
